2017 O'Donnell Pinot Noir
Description
For the 2017 vintage, we hit record temperature highs in late May that initiated flowering, followed by a cool down in early and mid June, and higher temperatures at the end of the month. As a result, flowering was complete and produced an excellent fruit set. The 2017 vintage ended up with near average to slightly higher than average sugar and acid levels with many touting beautiful flavors and well-balanced fruit.
Tasting Notes
Textured and layered, partnership with nature. Earthiness and minerality showcase the aromatics of the nose, a contrasting palate of ripe dark cherry and raspberry flows from front to back and side to side on the palate. Drink now through 2026.

Brian fine tuned hs winemaking talents by making wine for family & friends out of his garage in Northern California.
Smitten with Pinot Noir, Brian and his wife Jill, founded Belle Pente in 1992 with the purchase of a 70 acre farm just east of Carlton. Here he set a goal to craft old world style wines of impeccable balance and seductive complexity that represent a strong sense of place.
Brian's wines seem to always show the layers & texture that is possible from Bella Vida Vineyard.
